§00Changelog

Every version, and what it changed for you.

63 releases since 25 Jul 2026. Breaking changes say what to do about them, and a version that rebuilds your index says so at the top.

Archis updates itself: chi update checks what is published, verifies the release hash before writing anything, and puts the previous binary back if the new one does not start. chi update --check installs nothing.

  1. 0.13.0

Your agent's own output stops being thrown away.

    • NewTest runs, build logs and linter reports are shortened without being lost. Every shortened run names where its original lives and verifies it on the way back, so the part that was removed is still reachable. Before this, output past a fixed cut-off was simply discarded.
    • NewStructured readers for cargo, go test, pytest and ESLint, so every failure line survives the shortening verbatim. The scan they replace missed half of them — and all of the ones whose text contained none of its keywords, which is where the failure usually is.
    • NewA declarative filter for the commands no reader covers. Nothing in it executes anything, and a filter on disk is inert until you consent to it.
    • Newchi index indexes documents too — Markdown, JSON, logs, plain text — one symbol per section. Headings are a document's API the way signatures are a module's, and they were being counted as skipped and thrown away.
    • Newchi discover reads your coding agent's transcripts and replays what they captured.
    • Fixedchi index no longer aborts the whole run because one heading contained an emoji.
    • FixedA lease that had merely gone stale was reported as a lapsed plan, and a blocked command gave up without asking the server first. Every licence state now says what to do about it.
    • Fixedchi index . in the wrong folder says why it found nothing, instead of reporting an empty index as a success.
