Archis updates itself: chi update checks what is published, verifies the release hash before writing anything, and puts the previous binary back if the new one does not start. chi update --check installs nothing.

    The index lives at the root of your repository.

    Before you upgrade — Existing indexes in other locations are not migrated. Run chi index once at the repository root.

    • BreakingThe graph and your sessions live in .chi/ at the repository root, found the way git finds .git. Running a command from a subdirectory now finds the same index instead of starting a new one.
    • Improvedchi mcp on no longer writes machine-specific paths into your agent's configuration.
