§00Changelog
Every version, and what it changed for you.
63 releases since 25 Jul 2026. Breaking changes say what to do about them, and a version that rebuilds your index says so at the top.
Archis updates itself: chi update checks what is published, verifies the release hash before writing anything, and puts the previous binary back if the new one does not start. chi update --check installs nothing.

0.36.3
A file that changed is served again, instead of being called something you already have.
Before you upgrade — macOS and Linux:
curl -fsSL https://archis.dev/install.sh | sh. This release has no Windows build — 0.35.0 remains the newest one for Windows.- Fixed
get_filesandget_symbolscould answer "you already have this" about a file that had changed since you last asked. Anything read twice in one session — a log being written to, a file edited between two questions — came back as a pointer to the first copy, so the agent went on reasoning about content that no longer existed. Content that has changed is now sent again; content that has not still dedups, which is the point of the mechanism and costs nothing.
