§00Changelog
Every version, and what it changed for you.
63 releases since 25 Jul 2026. Breaking changes say what to do about them, and a version that rebuilds your index says so at the top.
Archis updates itself: chi update checks what is published, verifies the release hash before writing anything, and puts the previous binary back if the new one does not start. chi update --check installs nothing.

- NewEncrypted indexes, unlocked by your licence. Measured on 0.14.0 it costs 1.3% on indexing and makes search 29% faster.
- New
chi doctor— one command that answers "why is this not working". - FixedA
.hfile is identified as C or C++ by what is inside it rather than by its extension, and Objective-C is declared as the supported language it already was. - FixedThree benchmark findings turned out to be the instrument rather than the engine, and are corrected rather than quietly dropped. One language read 8% symbol recall against an oracle that was counting a different thing as a declaration.
